Italy has stunning scenery, from its coastlines to its countryside. Long, sunny days are ideal for outdoor ceremonies. Therefore, it’s important to have a plan B for bad weather. 

Imagine an amazing ceremony and reception on the lakeshore, among vineyards, or in a luxury villa, with world-class food and wine. Your photos and videos will tell your love story in a romantic Italian landscape.

Why not choose Italy in the summer season

Italy can be very hot in this season. I suggest booking Spring or Autumn if you don’t like the heat. You must also consider your guests (children, seniors, infants, etc.)

Best Locations

• Amalfi Coast – Cliffside views and intimate terraces
• Tuscany – Rolling hills, vineyards, rustic villas
• Lake Como – Elegant villas and serene waters
• Rome, Florence, Venice – Iconic backdrops rich in culture, but very hot in this season

Planning Tips

I suggest booking venues and vendors early, especially in June, and in early July or September. It’s important to avoid midday ceremonies due to the heat. The best solution is to have the ceremony and reception at sunset/evening.

Usually, I design shaded areas for both the ceremony and reception. The wedding bags can be useful with a fan, wet wipes, and a little water bottle. I would add a mosquito spray for an outdoor ceremony. The caterer will have refreshing drinks during the reception. I suggest considering the inside dinner as a plan B for the heat or for humidity. For example, Rome can be very hot, or Lake Como could be humid for an outside wedding dinner.
